Blogosphere Phenomenon and Benefit

The blogosphere is comprised of all blogs and their interconnections. In the past few years, the size of blogosphere has increased tremendously and it is still growing very rapidly nowadays. Noughton (N.D.)’s study showed that Technorati site has tracked over 50 million bloggers and the posting rate was 19 posts in every second. According to Bowers and Stoller (2005), the size of blogosphere had doubled by 50% every five months which was an incredible rate.

Blogging phenomenon is in a ‘push-media ecosystem’ which has caused a mass traffic. (Noughton n.d.) People always believe that bloggers have huge impacts on their opinions and decisions. Blogs are very influential nowadays. Many people obtained latest news through browsing the blogs. For example, In 2011 Technorati study showed that many blogs about Japan Tsunami incident were being viewed and blogged. 

According to Alexa (2012), the social websites like Facebook, Google and Youtube are the dominant sites in Malaysia. Blogspot.com is the most popular blog that used by Malaysian. Research showed that personal and social blogs have become the most popular types of blogs by Malaysian (BestBlogAsia 2009). On the other hand, political blogs is very popular in the Middle East. This is because people who live in Middle East tend to use blog to convey their dissatisfaction and views about political issues and their opinions towards USA perspectives (Dayem 2009). Political and social blogs can bring many benefits to the community that allows the community to express their own thinking. For example, the Iranians created the Persian blogs to voice out their political views and dissatisfactions. This is an effective way to share idea through social networking (Lewis 2007).

Purpose of My Blog

This blog is to expressing out my point of views of issue in publications and design, and sharing out the theories about the weblog. The main targets of this blog are people who lack of the knowledge of blogging, especially University students,journalist and other bloggers.
